Where are the DWI Hot Spots in New Jersey?

Officers notice an uptick in DWI charges in the summertime because more people seem to be out drinking. Authorities analyzed data from July of 2016 to June of 2017 to determine which areas throughout New Jersey have the most DWI arrests. The information revealed that Seaside Heights had 140 DWI arrests, the greatest amount in New Jersey. The area does have a few bars, and the mayor has been working diligently to prevent people from driving drunk. Wildwood City also had 140 DWI arrests during that time period, and many have attributed the higher number of arrests to the mayor’s persistence in increasing the city’s police force. On the other side of the spectrum, Cape May Point did not have a single DWI incident. Barnegat Light only had one arrest.
